Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

Well.... unfortunately no such luck. Icc starves again for the second week... i'm contemplating dropping down a prey size to see if that sparks his appetite, the last two times he's eaten small rats - but before that he never missed a rat pup (Rodentpro sizes). I again have checked humidity and temps and they seem spot on. Here is my question though, Icc spends pretty much ALL day and night in his cool hide. I have looked under the warm hide for feces or urine and found them but cleaned it all up and disinfected and such. He tends to prefer the temps a bit on the cool side (high eighties warm and mid to high seventies cool) but lately he will not leave his cool hide. Also when preparing to eat he gets all riled up like he's going to strike but then just sniffs the food as if it were a potential cage mate rather than meal. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem once with my BP and I ended up warming the f/t rat a lot more and she ended up taking it at the same feeding. I thought it was warm enough but she didn't agree.

You know Nadia that's some pretty darn good advice, I've actually been thinking that I haven't been giving the appropriate heat time for a small rat (they are much larger than pups and thus much more massive and harder to warm) I'll definately give that a shot. Thanks!
