Caring For a BP While In College

Soon I will be going to college like many other BP owners on this site. I can't have my reptiles (Leopard Gecko and Ball Python) in my dorm for freshman year, but I'm planning on renting an apartment once I am able to. My current plan is to keep them at home until I can get an apartment. Any advice or different ideas? Thanks for your help!

Nah. It sounds like a perfectly reasonable plan. Make sure your parents are okay with it,make sure they understand how to care for them properly and if you want advice from a mom about how to make your parents REALLY happy, show up once a month to do your laundry and do the deep cleaning of the BP tank/tub.

Great! This makes me feel a lot better! I may even come once every couple of weeks to feed my BP because the university is about an hour away.

Then mom's gonna love you - and probably come to love the snake because it makes you come home and visit sometimes ;-)
