Hey there everyone.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience keeping BPs in a room/house cooled/warmed by AC? Is there any reason why not to run AC if keeping BP there? Yeah humidity will drop a bit, but temperatures would be more steady and if the husbandry keeps it's humidity and temperature is there a reason why not to use AC?
And now i'm wondering for my other one, where I'm having a problem keeping humidity below 60%. The only workable solution for now was to use light to warm the air around and inside the tub so the humidity even drops as low as 50% but at night that becomes a problem. It raises again. I'll have to find a better spot for him, but at the moment he's in quarantine and that's more or less the only possible place for him to be, beside moving him to parents house, where it's too hot and apartment needs to be AC cooled. Using light works, but that disturbs snakes day/night schedule so i would like to use something that warms up but not emits any light. I believe my snake would appreciate not a constant light so would me and my wifeCan I use some other type of bulb that doesn't emit any light beside ceramic ones which as I believe emit infrared. Is that OK for our BPs?
Yeah I've made extra holes in the tub but that doesn't cut it, since that corner of the apartment where he's at has somewhat higher humidity than other places in the apartment.
Your 5 cents would be welcome![]()
