Wondering if playing drums will affect or hurt my ball python.

I just got a ball python she's amazing. But I'm a drummer so I was wondering how that may affect her or hurt her. I have my drums in my room and I hope to have the snake there too. But if it means not being able to drum then there's gonna be some problems . But if I can just bring the snake upstairs and it'll be fine or something, then I would muuuuch rather do that. If anybody can get back to me about this I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

We have hardwood floors in our house and our dogs nails get a little long and the clicking irritates my snake. They don't have ears, but pick up vibrations. I would say the drums would most likely stress the snake. Just my 2 cents!

Yeah they pick up vibrations, but they don't seem stressed. I've been living in a very small apartment with two snakes which seem to have learned to ignore or cope with the loud electronic music which has full base so yeah vibrations are something unavoidable.

Both of the snakes seem just fine, they are not scared, they don't have problems with handling, eat regularly, shed well so no I don't believe it's effecting them or at least not causing any behavior issues. Maybe they would prefer silence but, hey life without music and tv is somewhat boring

Maybe you should try slow and not every day and see how they behave. If they seem stressed maybe you shouldn't continue but if their behavior doesn't change ... I don't see the problem

maybe play more during the evening or at night, when the BP is up and around exploring her surroundings and the branches and different hides and stuff. you will definitively wake up a sleeping BP with that.

but even if it is during the day, i say go ahead and just do it and see if your BP shows a difference in feeding response.

ball pythons do not hear vibrations in the air, but they do "hear" vibrations in the ground, when their lower jaw is on the ground they can certainly hear it when a person walks by. so they hear the bass. but does it matter, will the BP just get used to it and/or show no response at all? i dont know, find out. big BPs can survive 1 year without food, surely they can take 1 month of music they dont like, just go ahead and try and see how the feedings go.

My oldest is like 6-7 feet away from the sub woofer and doesn't even seem to mind or be disturbed by it. He ignores pretty much of everything now days and sleeps through everything like a true snake should Eat, sleep and poop

Actually I never see them bothered by base, they don't even move in their hides ... either they don't care or are not disturbed by loud base. However it seems they don't mind it

I'm a drummer as well, my playing has never affected any of my snakes in any noticeable way. even having a full band playing in a small place never seems to bother them.
