    Exclamation Friendly Ball goes Aggressive?

Hey guys, I've had my BP for a month now and he's just doing great! He's been feeding every time he's offered (weekly, adult mice) and has not refused yet. But yesterday he caught me a bit off guard with his aggressive eating tactics. I thawed out my mouse and had him warm and used my clamps to do the zombie dance. He jumped once, but missed, so I continued dangling it until he almost bit the clamps and I dropped the mouse! (Clumsy me!) I questioned If should reach in to get the mouse or not, but I decided against it. When I wanted to wait and see if he'd eat the mouse, I walked past the enclosure and he reached out as if he was going to bite me! I quickly put the top back onto the enclosure and left the room. About ten minutes later, I walked back in to check on him and he had the mouse in his mouth and he ate it like always.

But today, he's looking out of his hide (with about a quarter of his body out) and went into the infamous S-Shape when he saw me. What's going on with him? He's eaten regularly, his husbandry is up to code, and he is showing no signs of Respiratory Infection. I also need to change his water! I'm just a little worried considering it's day-time and he's looking out with a quarter of his body out. I've never seen him behave like this, only when a mouse was involved... but he's never done this to me.

I've also noticed a pattern with his shedding. By the end of the month, he'll go into shed and start hiding. It's June 26, so he might be feeling vulnerable now? Has this every happened to any one of you?

Yep just being a snake...I have had this happen too, and what I do if they are acting a bit rowdy is drape something over the hide so they can't see me, and then I can change the water, and do whatever needs done without fear of the snake coming out and accidentally biting me..works very well

Since he's being aggressive about eating, now is a good time to convert him to rats. He might just be hungry.
