mutation causes color change in half of the face (different species, pic heavy)

Hi there

i know this thread is slightly offtopic, because there was a thread about a clutch where BPs hatched where one half of the face had one color, and the other half is a different color.

unfortunately, i did not manage to find it again. but i came across some compelling evidence that this might be genetic, and its just too awesome not to share.

ok, now, help me here.... where was that thread again with the half-faced BPs? unfortunately i failed to find out if its hereditary, or if these are in fact chimeras that have two different cell lines in their body. but then, the cats, there is two of them, and in the thread that showed BPs with these split faces, if i remember correctly it was more than one.

anyway, i think its fascinating how this can happen in so many species that are so very different. and for BPs, it would be awesome to have it as a reproducable morph.
