    Shop made mistake

Sorry on mobile so can't post pics, but we noticed that our ghost corn was starting to turn yellow around the head and sides. At first i though it was sons kind of burn off something in the viv. I then looked on a morph site. And it turns out they sold us a pastel ghost! How much would you expect to pay for a 3 month old male pastel ghost? We paid £30

I've seen them for £60 on several sites. What does your corn look like?

Many corns develop yellow around the head & neck area as they age. I don't think it necessarily indicates a pastel ghost, which I believe is just a selectively bred ghost that has more color in its pattern such as yellows & pinks. If the only "pastel" colors you are seeing is the yellow on the head & neck, then I wouldn't call it a pastel. I think corns that develop a lot of the yellow can be very striking, though, so it doesn't mean anything bad if your baby isn't a pastel....just that a different label might be more appropriate.

The yellow is something they do. If the yellow washes up to the top of the neck, or fully across the head, you might have an ultramel anery instead of a ghost.

Here's a picture of a very standard ghost I used to have, and his yellow.
