ok i was at my sisters house from saturday till today(that why i haven't posted, oh yeah and thnx to the staff for getting the chip off of me.) but i cam e home to find that my mom didn't fill the water dish at all. it was spot dry. now it would take like 2 days for the water out that bowl to evaporate. so i imagined he didn't have water all day yesterday!!!! also i think reeses is really warming up to me when i was getting dressed at 3:00 pm in the afternoon he was out for about 2 hours just exploring!!! now is this because he was hungry or was he just used to me being in the room. my mom was sleep so i didn't ask her why she didn't fill the bowl with water i just picked reeses up and and held him and put the bowel in the floor and let him drink while in my hand(so cool!!).

ummm, did you ask her to check on the water bowl before you left? Being a parent myself, I know there are times the kids assume we will watch after their things because they are important to them, not thinking about all the other things we are already doing that are important to all. NOT wanting to sound preachy, but you are Reeses Dad and need to make sure he is well cared for at all times the best you can. I've read some of your other posts and it is obvious you are concerned about him and do what you feel is right. As a parent, that's all that can be asked of you.

Also, it might be a good idea to have an extra water dish handy so that you can double up on water if you know you'll be leaving for a few days. That way you should be covered even if there's some kind of incident that keeps your mom from checking on him after you ask her to. Reeses will be fine, anyway. As long as he's not going without water regularly or for long periods of time (and I know you're not letting that happen), it shouldn't be a big problem that this happened.

they make those bowls/dishes that have a reservoir attached to them too. its not the same as fresh water everyday but at least that way they are guaranteed not to run out.
