Along my efforts to quarantine my new snakes I kind of ran into a dilemma. The snakes are being kept in my hobby room which also hold a giant collection of live insects. I wanted to use the NIX treatment method (it's essentially the same as PAM), but am worried about my insects since PAM is known to kill invertebrates. Does anyone know how long it takes for NIX and PAM to completely dissipate off the enclosure and the snake? Is there any other method I can use to get rid of mites that won't be harmful to my insect collection? The ventilation is awful in that room, and I prefer not moving the entire snakerack if possible *it was really hard getting it in, kind of oversized the design a bit >.<*
The pack of NIX also came with a NIX mitespray and I thought I could make some mitepaper out of it by spraying papertowels with it. Anyone know how long it takes for it to completely dry and be harmless to nearby insects?
