Last year I hatched my first clutch ever. The pairing was Pastel x Pastel. The female laid 5 good eggs and 72 days later I had a clutch of 1.1 Pastel and 1.2 Super Pastel. Great odds right! I was going to hold back the male super but instead I decided to hold back the first one that crawled out of the egg (sentimental value) which happened to be a female super. All the babies looked really nice to me but the one I held back looks super duper nice. Instead of green eyes, she has silver eyes. The other four babies in the clutch had green eyes like mom and dad. She also has quite a bit of fading to her flames near the belly which end up turning into speckles as they end. She also has a really unusual looking area near her tail which may or may not be some sort of ringer. What has gotten my attention is that the baby gets brighter yellow and seems to loose more black(it turns to fade?) with each shed. I have attached pictures of every one and would like your evaluation of them.

I paired the female pastel to a black pastel and the male pastel to a spider this year to see if I would get any interesting clutches from either of them but so far no eggs. I thought it was odd that I got no normals and three supers but I guess good luck can sometimes happen. I also am very interested in this fading flame thing going on with both girls (with more emphasis on the baby). She is also just so yellow. I wish now that I had the entire clutch still. Please tell me what you think, if anything, is going on here. Thank you![]()
