    Hydrofarm with Heater

So I have a heater in my room and I can't keep my temps right. Do you think a Hydrofarm would work? I use one for my heat tape.

Power load of the heater will be greater than the hydrofarm can handle.

In May... in Georgia? We had to run the A/C last weekend... or is this for winter?

It's for both my ac stays at 73 so I can't get it to the desired 79 or 80 without my heater but my heater doesn't keep the temps stable

Speaking as an electrical engineer... when designing the technical solution to a problem, we tell the customer to pick 2 out of 3 options:
    - Fast
    - Cheap
    - It Works

In your case, you can have all three options by simply turning up the t-stat on your HVAC; 77*F works for me.

    Re: Hydrofarm with Heater

Can't you just close the vents in the room so the cold air wont get in?

    Re: Hydrofarm with Heater

To answer the original question, yes it will work if you keep the heater on low. Check the ampere/wattage rating here. I heat(ed) my reptile room during the winter with 500w heater. Didn't use the hydrofarm though, the built in t-stat on the heater worked ok. Cheers
