    Tub Temp Question

Hey. I tried asking this question before and got no replies, likely because I tried asking 3 questions in one long and complex thread. So I'll try to simplify it into one question.

I have a 15 quart Sterilite tub. Its dimensions are 17x12x6 or something like that.

To heat it I am currently using two UTH's both set at 90 with thermostats:
1 small 8x6 heater on the bottom
1 mini 5x4 heater on the side
I taped styrofoam on the sides for insulation.

As of now, I am keeping my room at 77 degrees ambient.

This produces temperatures in the tub as follows:

Warm floor: 83-90 (90 inside warm hide, 83 outside)
    Cold floor: 79

    Warm ambient: 81
    Cold ambient: 78

Are these temperatures healthy for a ball python? Particularly the ambient ones? I won't be able to keep my room at 77 degrees anymore because I'm moving in with some new people and I assume they will keep ambient temp around 72 tops. So I'm worried the UTH wont be able to keep the ambient temps high enough once I leave. I considered switching to an aquarium so I can use a heat bulb/heat emitter but then I read everywhere that glass tanks are apparently even harder to maintain temperatures with (and humidity)? Please give me some advice.
