rex wont eat again so im trying tonight, 11 days after he ate last. seems like he has a slow digestive system, seeing as how he doesnt take another prey item so quickly. if he dont eat for me today, then hes gonna be waiting 2wks. i know theres one method, to put the snake in a pillow case with the rat, if he doesnt eat, should i try it? any other ideas? when i feed him, its dark, late at nite, usually around 10-11pm.

How are his temps? I have found that raising them will quicken Kitty's digestion and make him more active to feed. Also, have you recently changed food items, increased them in size, or from mouse to rat? Sometimes they just need a little time to ajust to the new food.

Why two weeks? And do pay special attention to the temps as it does have a greater potential for affecting feeding behavior than we might think

his temps are the same they aways are. in 2wks because last time i waited 2wks between offering food he ate. i think he has a slow metabolisim or something.

It is september I have read that males can go off feed from now till March or April. Because its the breeding season. If he is big enough he should be fine and if he gets hungry he will eat just keep an eye on him and if he starts getting thin then try and offer him some food. But he ain't dumb when he gets hungry he'll eat.

His temps may still be the same, but what is that exactly? You could still try to bring them up a bit

That sounds about right for temps and humidity.....
Xaero is doing the same thing to me again. He didnt eat for about 2 months, ate once 3 weeks ago, and now nothin. LOL, will be nice when our boas are big enough to take the same size food. Attempt python first, if no joy then off to the boa. Heh, they hate to waste food.
