Hello all,
I've been patiently (or not-so-patiently) waiting for my new BP to adjust to her tub. I've been leaving her alone as much as possible so that I would not stress her out. So far, it's worked and she ate for the first time yesterday evening.
That said, before I fed her, I changed her water and noticed a "funk" in her tub.. Picked up a hide and sure enough, I saw poop and urates. I removed the poop but didn't want to stress her out by changing the bedding (newspaper and paper towel). The "mess" was under the warm side hide (where she stays most of the time). I also need to wipe down the sides of the tub (I had sprayed the tub with PAM before I knew plastic wouldn't absorb it) and replace her hides with slightly larger ones.
Now that she has eaten, would it be safe for me to place her in another tub, change her newspaper, wipe down the tub, change the hides etc. then place her back in? I do not want to stress her by moving her and risk a regurg, but that would mean leaving her in a dirty cage for a day or two more while she digests.
I'd be grateful for any advice you guys have and thank you for your time and help!
