Worry About Stuck Shed?

My pastel shed a week ago, and he has some stuck shed on one side of his head including his eyecap. His husbandry is fine and his behavior is normal. Should I be concerned about the stuck shed and soak him-I have soaked him once for twenty minutes already- or should I simply see how the next shed goes?

The best thing is to do nothing. Wait until the next shed and make sure the humidity is a little higher. No need to soak prior to next shed just work on the humidity being correct.

Like CommandoKev said, just make sure the humidity is bumped up more with the next shed. You could try soaking a little bit and see if the stuck shed comes off earlier, but if it doesn't, I wouldn't worry.

I'm not a fan of leaving stuck shed...search for "pillow case" trick...there are a million threads that explain how to remove stuck shed...

My clown always leaves her head piece, even though I keep my humidity in the mid 60s all the time and mid 70s during sheds. I've gotten to where as soon as she clears up out of blue I put a large water bowl in and mist down her tub. The humidity will jump up to mid 80s but in two days she sheds and gets everything off. Before I figured all this out, when she would leave her head piece on after a fine full body shed, I'd add the bigger water bowl, mist very heavily, and let the humidity sit at 90, but for no more then 48 hours. She would then have no problem getting it off and she's always been fine afterwards, except leaving her head piece on the next time as well(I always air out her tub and replace any begging that's wet after she's fully shed of course, and get her humidity back down to the mid 60s). Some people will say absolutely no way to letting humidity get that high but 1) humidity can get into the 90s in their natural habitat(I did keep a very close eye on her tub to make sure it doesn't start fogging up the walls of the tub, and making sure it's for no more then 48 hours) and 2) after three head pieces all stuck on top of each other, even after repeated soakings, mistings, and attempts at holding a head shy snake and trying to roll it off yourself, you start giving things a try. It may not be the best way to do it, but it seems to work really well for both her and me.

I also would not just leave it. The few times that i have had an incomplete shed i soaked the snake in a bowl for a few minutes, then while constantly rewetting my hands in luke warm water i let the snake climb around on my arms/hands. Let them do the work and it comes right off.
