    Is this egg going bad?

My first clutch of ball python eggs has been in the incubator for about a week now, and temperature and humidity are doing good. All eggs started perfectly white and perfectly shaped. Today was the second time I've checked them since they've been laid, and I noticed a very slight discoloration on the end of one egg. It also has a slight wrinkling in it. It's a slightly brownish color but it's not too noticeable. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to post a picture of them, but if anyone could tell me wether or not I should worry about it that'd be appreciated.

Without pics no one can tell you much of anything. To post pics upload them to photobucket and then copy the img code here

Sounds like a "window" egg...does it look like the egg at the right in the pic below? If so, it should be fine...

Not nearly that bad. It's just a very slight discoloration. Someone said to try bumping up the humidity. The egg box just won't get above 80% humidity, and I think it's because the probe keeps the lid from being able to close fully. The incubator I bought is a chicken egg incubator. I have no idea what level of humidity is in the actual incubator not the box. I think that's where it's losing humidity is because it's not sealed, so it is losing some in the incubator. The incubator has channels for water, I filled them on day one. It also has 8 holes on the top of the incubator, in an attempt to raise humidity inside the incubator itself I've taped a few of those holes up. Hopefully that will work

A slight discoloration is nothing to worry about. Can you cut a small slit in the egg box for the temp probe wire to enter?

Could you explain what kind of sound a "window" egg makes?
