What do ya mean you can't wrap your head around it? The construction of it, the parts, the layout? Sounds like it could be a nice build, if you search the DIY forum you posted in, you might even find a design like it.

Re: Greetings all quick question about a plan??

hey, how is the search going? I just did my custom cage this weekend!!! I couldn't be happier with how it came out!!! I built it out of melamine shelving from lowes. i was going to make a flip top too, but decided on sliding plexiglass doers in the front. It came out great!!! If you are interested, I could totally help you along the way. I did a ton of research before I started and it was well worth it. let me know if you want help… My dimensions are 36 wide, 16 deep and 18 tall.

Please NEVER use a top hinged "box" like caging system for any snake. It is a death trap for snakes when the lid accidentally slams closed. As for the plexiglass front window. That's where your door should be. You can use a bottom hinged down swing front door, or like mine I have "tracks" for plexiglass sliding doors on my retic cages.
