    Please help ID!!

    Out hiking with my son and came across this snake....it was roughly 2 ft long. I'm from southern Indiana if that helps. Thoughts?

    Looks like a garter snake of some sort.

    It really looks like a Wandering Garter. We have them up here in Canada. Is that species local there at all?

    From doing a quick Google search it is probably the Eastern Garter Snake.

    That's just the color they always are here in central ky, I just found one today that super dark!
