    Tagged for the first time!

It's been about 1 year since I got my first snakes and one finally got me... It was totally my fault. I was cleaning her cage at night, moved her to the other side of it to dig around for hidden "presents", was removing poo (which I supposed smelled "mousy"), and brilliantly decided to fiddle with a thermometer cord right next to her head (with said mouse-poo smelling hands) and she got me. Oh, the pain! Oh the gruesomeness!

    First the wound

Now a closeup of the viscous culprit (zelda, the anery KSB..about 115 grams)

And another pic of her for scale

I was surprised at how little it hurt and how little the damage was. I never expected this from her because she's so docile... I guess snake poo actually smells like mice and can cause one to be mistaken for food? Otherwise I'm not sure what the motive would've been. I hope you enjoyed the carnage. My husband said "Now you're a real snake owner."

You better get to the ER for that. You might loose the finger.........

My big hypo BCI girl tagged me in the cheek last week. 2 teeny dots of blood. I complained to my husband that I was mad there wasn't more blood and gore because, shoot, she got me in the face and it wasn't even worth taking a picture and posting. He says I have a problem............

Heh.. My husband said "snake people" were crazy when I told him about posting when you get bitten. Oh well, guess my first wasn't dramatic, but I'm sure I'll get another chance to post a better bite pic.
