Egg problems

Hi everyone.

My python laid 12 eggs two days ago. All of the eggs look very healthy, no slugs or deformities. The egg box that I have set up, I used an equal mixture by weight of vermiculite and water. The egg box is sealed. The temperature in the incubator has been at a steady 88.5. Today when I looked, I noticed that all of the eggs are looking lumpy and have small dimples all over them. Any idea what this could be or why it is happening?

What is the humidity inside the egg box?

Right now it is at 60%

I think that's too low, I've read it should be 90% or more. My egg box humidity has been at 100% right using the substrateless method - http://www.worldofballpythons.com/ar...bation-method/ - the eggs were laid in late February and are still nicely round. I like this method because even if you add a bit too much water the eggs won't be affected by it.

when you say the box is sealed, is that just with a lid? if so that is the problem of such low humidity. use press n seal then put the lid on. hope this helps

Can you take a pic of the eggs? Some times they do have lumps, bumps and dimples. They ain't always purty, but they usually hatch just fine.
