She finally laid, and a nice BIG clutch at that!

So excited I had to share! My Spider girl finally laid her first clutch, and the first clutch I've ever dealt with either. I would have been excited with a nice 4 egg clutch, so imagine my surprise when I woke up and found SEVEN, plus one more to lay!

Quick question, though. When she laid her 8th egg, she laid it in the middle of her drawer which was rather cool in comparison to the others. When I picked up the egg, it was cool to the touch. I immediately put it in the incubator. I'm not sure when she laid it (I checked on her at 8am and saw the rest of the eggs, went to work, came back and checked at 4:30pm and there was the 8th), but do you think a few hour cool spell could have killed it? Or could it have survived the cool spell? I left my nice light for candling at work (was egg day at work today too!) so I haven't gotten a chance to check them out yet.

    Thanks everyone!!

How many grams is your spider? What did you breed her to?

She was about 1800-2000 grams when she started locking. I paired her with my Ivory this year, hoping for a big ole' batch of Spiderbellies!
