    Just purchased Female Mojave

Hi I purchased a Female Mojave that is an early 2012! Anyways I have some concerns with her, she hasn't had any issues with eating. Well when I drove 2 hours to pick the female up after the seller was showing me her I noticed she had some eye caps left on her. Both eyes showed signs of bad shed, and I mentioned this to the seller and she said to use clear tape after soaking her to remove it. She is a breeder and I asked her why is she having the issues? You being a breeder and all. I wasn't going to purchase her but decided to do so since she would be better in my care anyways, since I'm not trying to make a living off of breeding. Well I brought her home after a long trip and decided to put her in her new enclosure and sure enough she was pretty active. She gave me a feeding card and it showed she hasn't ate in a good month and this girl should have much more weight on her. She weighs 500 grams and so I decide to go ahead and thaw some mice for her. She took the mice like she was starving, so I don't know if she hasn't been fed in a while or what. Anyways I've had her since Saturday and today is Tuesday! I decided to take a peak at her and see hows she's holding up in her new enclosure. Well I noticed she was soaking her upper part of her head, and she just started this today. The humidity is around 60% and the cool side heat is 82-84, warm side is 91-94. Her substrate I'm using is what was recommended from a local breeder, I've had no issues with my other balls. I did a very thorough inspection for mites and can't seem to locate any. I also checked the water dish for them that may have drowned. I didn't see any.

I'm just worried and thinking it's the shed caps from her having bad shed before from this breeder. Any incite would be greatly appreciated.

Btw I'm new to this form and look forward to interacting with everyone on this awesome site.

Welcome and congrats. I'm sure the snake will be fine but pics will help be sure of that. Stuck eye caps are generally fine and will come off in the next shed. If she's 500g and eating like shes starving I suspect that the next shed will not be long from now. DO NOT put tape anywhere near your snake. If you're concerned about the health, hopefully you are keeping her quarantined away from your other reptiles for at least a month (most people will tell you 3+).
