I just got a new baby ball python barely a week ago, and I'm a littel concerned ablut his skin. My mom picked him up as asurprise from teh pet store. His skin has some spots where the scales look dried up. The guy in the store said it was from the mite bath he had before. I just wanted to confirm that that was true, and will the dried scales go away, perhaps the next time he sheds? Other then these scales teh snake looks healthy, and is very active. He's also been drinking a lot of water.

    Thanks!

Poor thing is probably dehydrated. Make sure it has plenty of water and that the enclosure is at 50% or better humidity so that it can recover from its previous lack of care. I hope you'll take good care of it.

Excellent. The activity level is a good sign that he wasn't neglected too long. You definitely want to keep a good eye on him, though.

How do I post pictures? I'm pretty new to forums. Does teh picture already have to be posted online, or can it just be in my documents?
