    So confused! Shedding or dehydration?

We received a 4' 4 yr old ball python in October. I don't know very much about snakes, but he seems odd. He hasn't eaten since he came to live with us and he actually got injured by a mouse. He has appherently gone 9mo without eating so we are trying not to worry. He is thin and wrinkly which I assumed was due to the lack of eating. But recently I noticed that his eyes clouded over and his skin looked ashy. I assumed it was shedding, but his eyes are dented so I googled it and it came up as dehydration. I'm starting to get very concerned. I also noticed a black area around his mouth. He always has a large fresh bowl of water, even though I've never seen him drink from it, he likes to flip over. The humidity is naturally at 65% so I'm debating if I should start misting. The temp is at 75, but I turn the lamp on for a few hours daily which could be contributing to dehydration?? I'm so confused! Thanks for any help/suggestions!

pics? 75 is too low of a temp!

sounds like you need to get the husbandry right and maybe he'll start eating.

Have you read anything on how to keep a ball properly?
