desperate, need ideas on how to warm ball python!

i know i have been post happy these last couple days, but i want to make sure i do everything i can to give my baby his best chance for survival. he is in a styrofoam cooler for 2 weeks on a wet towel with medication on it (vets orders). he cannot have direct heat while he heals. so far the most i have been able to figure out to do to warm him up is to use warm water, but because i can only change it every other day (with the medicine on it) i cant keep adding warm water. does anyone have ANY idea on how to regulate his temps?? or at least try. i know i cant keep them ideal. other than keeping him in a warm room of course. the lack of heat is part of the reason his prognosis is only 50/50...

background reading on why this temporary set up is necessary:

Can you think of any way of providing regulated top heat - with an insulated cooler you would need to be very carefull to avoid overheating.

And obviously he shouldn't be able to come in contact with it so it would need to be through a mesh top section etc.

if its only temporary, you could put the enclosure in the best isolated and/or smallest room you have, and heat the whole room to the right temperature.

What I would do, is put him in a plastic tub and have the UTH tape on the side, your BP should not come in contact with belly heat due to it's burns however, you could provide a higher ambient temp in a tub by sticking the UTH on the side of it, of course with a reliable thermostat or a lamp dimmer as a temporary solution.

What about placing him in his container in a small room, and then use a space heater to warm it up? If you put the heater six-eight feet away, then it won't be directly on him but will warm him up. Just an idea.....
