My BP behavoir

Hi all, I have recently just gotten my BP eating again after a 6month fast... (unexplainable) he has eaten 3 times in the last week on consecutive nights. He was then left for 2 days and then handled last night...

Tonight he is half under his hide and half out, everytime somebody passes by his enclosure he takes up the 's shape' with his head and neck off the ground looking to strike.

The question is, is this a feeding strike or an aggressive strike posistion?

Could be either or. Stick your hand in and find out lol. I always like aggressive ball pythons because most of the time they are the best eaters.

My BP does that every time she thinks it's feeding time (which is like all the time), but if I put my hand in there, she smells it and tucks her head back into her hide. Your BP is probably just getting his hopes up for another meal because he sees something warm moving around.

He didn't worry when i put my hand in just cautiously followed my hand, when i put my hand close to his face and he flicked he settled right down. Under closer inspection he is definately entering the shed cycle and... he showed no interest in the rat tonight.

So in a nutshell hes just defending his self whilst shedding.
