    Angry Tail shed

So my baby ball shed with me the second time and for the second time the smallest fraction (smaller than a millimeter) of the tail didn't shed. The first time this happened I didn't know what it was and that piece smaller than a millimeter actually fell off.

My problem is i cant take it off so any suggestions?
Since this is the second time she shed everything except that tiny piece of tail is there a way to prevent this?
I make sure her husbandry is right all the time and it doesn't make sense that everything comes off except this.

There's really no way to prevent it other than making sure the humidity is good and checking them over really well after they shed. I often find them with the tiny bit of tail shed left. I get it off the same as any other stuck shed. A little water and some picking at it. If you continue leaving them on there the tip of the tail will die and they'll end up with a stumpy tail...

leave it alone. If you're accurate in saying that it is smaller than a mm then it's not an issue.

My adolescent BP had a tiny bit of tail shed left too. He shed in one piece, except for like 2mm of tail. All I did was hold it with my fingers, and he wiggled it off. I don't think it's an issue, but if it seems really stuck, maybe soak him in the tub for 20 minutes? I'm a newbie so I'm not sure exactly why this happened, but with mine, I just had to help him a tad. I never physically pull it off, I just hold it and let him pull it off himself.

What is preventing you from taking it off?
