Where to get PAM and Q on prophylactic mite treatment
Hello folks,
With a new arrival coming, I've been trying to beef up my sanitizing and treatment stash so that I'm prepared. I want to add several more snakes later this year, so having stuff on hand to use and a proper quarantine setup is my goal.
I've gotten reptile mite spray and some f10sc, but have not been able to find any PAM. What is the best place online to get it (i.e. cheapest)?
Also, my new boa will be coming next week. He is from a good breeder that doesn't resell or have a lot of animals coming in/out of his collection... Should I use reptile spray on him even if he shows no signs of mites? If I am able to get PAM before he arrives, should I treat his enclosure?
Thanks for your help and time!

Thanks for the links!
Reptile relief is what I purchased already from reptile basics... If treating the snake with that will be enough to kill any mites he might carry, then I don't see a need to get PAM, unless others think it is necessary or might be good to keep on hand.

i think it would still be good to keep on hand You could use them both, PAM for the enclosure and the Reptile Relief for the snake. Either way should work find though

I keep both on hand (ok instead of PAM I have NIX solution) and pre-treat enclosures for new arrivals. I also pick my snakes up at the FedEx hub and wipe them down with Reptile Relief sprayed onto a white paper towel, while the car is sitting in the driveway when I get home. That way if there's a problem there's a good chance I'll know it before the snake arrives.

I would keep it on hand. I use PAM monthly on my enclousures when I am changing out substrate.

The problem is that reptile relief does affect all stages, only kills adults.
The thing with mites is that you need to eradicate everything which mean all stages including eggs, otherwise 30 days later you will have a re-infestation.
You can get PAM here too http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/provent-a-mite.html and can find it at shows.
With proper quarentine technique and the use of PAM you should never have mite issues in your colony.

Thanks so much for the information!
I went ahead and ordered the PAM from pangea (I needed to get gecko food from them anyway), I just hope it'll arrive before the boa does.
I will take your advice about wiping him down with the reptile remedy before I put him in the enclosure and if the PAM arrives before he does, I will spray his enclosure with that as well.
Thanks again with your input. Having this stuff on hand will make me feel more confident about buying snakes at shows as well.
