    Temperatures...

OK First let me say I am building a rack for my ballzz. I have pretty much everything I need but have a question about temps. The rack will be in a small room and the door usually kept closed. Once I get the heat tape going with a stat of course. I am planning to get a heat source for the entire room so it stays at an even temp and use the heat tape for the warm spot in the rack. So the question is by keeping the room at a certain temp and the heat tape on would that be considered the hot side and the room temp the cool side? Want temp should the room be at. Sorry for it being long but I wanted to ask. Any and all help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Alan

Yes, your ambient temp will be the cool side. In my opinion, optimum cool side temp for Ball Pythons is 79-81 degrees.

You're going to want to set up your thermostat on your heat tape to maintain 88-91. Your cool side is also ambient, and should be around 79-81, like Slim said.

Whatever you do, do not let the room drop below 75ish or you can risk respiratory illness.

I'm new to this and have no clue how to write a new post or anything but have a very important question. My husband and I are getting a zoomed reptifogger to maintain the humidity for our fire ball pythons tank. The tank has a mesh cover lid, how do I attach the valve of the humidifier to the lid without making a gateway for our python to escape ?
