Sperm plugs & females???

Just out of curiosity....when males breed to a female, is there any way he might leave a sperm plug in her afterwards? Like obviously there would be sperm but I mean like a dried out plug if that makes sense?

I popped my female and found what looks like a sperm plug. She's been with a male, but I haven't seen them lock or even act interested. She's a FEMALE for sure.....just thought it was odd....

I thought about that, but its the second time in one week...the first time I popped her I saw that and thought no biggie, but I had popped her again(I was showing someone how to do it) saw it again last night so I became suspicious. She hasn't shed in over a month, might be two months now.

Have you probed her? I had the same issue with what I thought to be a female but he was just holding in his hemipenes so when I popped I just got what looked like scent glands so I though he was a female. Got a probe kit and probed her and it went in about 8-9 scales lol so my girl turned into a boy real quick when I probed him

No, I haven't done the probing method yet. I got her from my trusted breeder/friend. She had just laid eggs when I bought her last year, so I know its a female for sure. I'll get her probed though just in case there was a mix up lol. But it's not like its fresh stuff coming from her, it looks dried up Haha snakes are so weird.

Wow thats interesting! It didn't look like that though LOL. I saw someone said their females shed in that area, and can look like a male sperm plug or whatever you want to call it. Thats what I'm guessing it is. Phew

Yeah definitely try the probing method just in case it will give you a definite answer for sure lol. And yeah I never knew about the genital sheds either. Very interesting stuff.
