I'm weak from scrolling, but I have to say Jesse looks AMAZING.
Hopefully I'll pick up a Luecistic Rat Snake, at the Reptile Show in Sept.
By the way I have the same Walmart fake plants!

lol....good ole walmart to the herps rescue again

    lol

ive gotten a lot of things from walmart for the snakes, lol

thanks for your compliments, they are all different, and all have their own personalities

jesse is very daring and wants to go everywhere all the time

james is extremely shy when you first take him out, then gets a little more curious, but deff. not as much as jesse, and he loves to be with you, jesse wants to get away, lol

and jeff, he is pretty much a combination of both! very curious and brave, yet always seems to make it back to me, and just look at me, then climb all over me, then just wrap around my hand, or curl up in my lap

UberAlice, hehehe, sorry for making you want one, but, ill take that as a compliment, lol, but, you could get a male, they dont get as big, if thats the reason for not having one, or a hogg island, or some other locality (sp?), but thats only if its cuz of size, might be space, or money, and i think you said youre in school, so that might alsocontribute to you not getting one

but, i do suggest that you get one EVENTUALLY

    thanks again everyone

I actually have a friend who's adopting his Surinam RTB out to me because he can no longer handle the size and aggression. It'll be a month or so before he's acclimated enough to handling for Marlon to move him to my place though, so it's more an impatience thing with me than anything else.

I've been counting the days. He's a beautiful snake, no doubt, but needs a lot of work on handling as he was a w/c juvenile when Marlon adopted him from someone else. He has a nasty habit of striking at the glass, so much that he's been losing the skin on his nose from smashing up to it so much. It'll be my first foray into having a truly aggressive snake, so the masochist in me can't wait to see just what the experience will be like!
