Any way to save CHE bulb

My daughter had a tantrum while I was working on Oliver's tank, and the CHE bulb burned some plastic and now has plastic residue on it. Is there anyway to scrape it off and save the bulb? Trying to save some $ if I can clear it off somehow without hurting Ollie...

if its just plastic on a ceramic emitter I would imagine just melting it off with a simple lighter would work?

Ceramic emitter shouldnt be damaged by a lighter's open flame on it for as quick as you can to melt off the plastic considering how hot those emitters can get anyways.

Should be able to just heat it up and scrape it off then. Wouldn't really do it with a bulb but a CHE would be able to stand up to it.
