    "The healing power of pets"

    http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/news...3617/?features

The article talks about pets in general, but I like this particular statement/paragraph...
The benefits of touch are not limited to petting furry friends. According to a study in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, stroking a pet snake brought down the blood pressure and heart rate of the owner.
That would explain why I almost fall asleep every time I have Boots chilling with me. lol (That's of course, when I'm not too busy worrying about her peeing all over everything)
