lights at night
I'm gonna start using a light at night because the cage has been getting a little cold, close to 72 F some nights. So I was wondering do the colors make a difference? I'd prefer blue just for looks but I.see there's red, purple, etc. Do the different colors matter to.the bp for night lighting?

Why not go with a ceramic heat emitter? It works in a fixture and emits no light. BPs are nocturnal and live in termite mounds, their eyes aren't made for tons of light.

I normally use red in these situations but I have heard of people using blue with no issues. 
But the ideal solution would be a ceramic heat emitter in the correct fittings and a thermostat to take the guesswork out of it.
