I Have A Baby Female ball python. I wanna trade it for a male and breed into my normal female. They are willing to trade a lesser ball python for my spider female. Do YOU GUYS THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA? OR NOT? Pleasee.help me out.

I think that is an awesome trade...for the them. For you, not so much. How much does your Spider girl weigh? Breeding size or no?

i wouldnt do it.

single-gene females are quite useful, single-gene males are much less useful.

i would keep both females. if the spider is a hatchling now, it will be ready to breed in 2 or 3 years. male hatchlings are ready to breed after just one year.

so i would keep both females, and now you have one year to save up for a nice 2015 hatchling male, and go for a double-gene male, like maybe a lemonblast or something.

breeding a lesser to a normal is not a very attractive breeding. lemonblast to spider and lemonblast to normal is much better, the same with any other nice two-gene male.

No she isnt. She is still a baby. Around 16 inches. If that

Iv never bred snakes before. The reason why im taking it into consideration is to have that experience & then if i do breed, take it from there. Build it from nothing pretty much. Makes sense??

I would keep the spider female and save up for a lesser male. You could probably pick one up at a local show for under $200. I've seen them as low as $125-150. Spider female will only go up in value as she grows. Lesser male, not so much.

I got my male lesser for a hundred. I saw a female spider, less than a hundred grams, for 150.
