Pittsburgh and Columbus Reptile shows
I go to the Cleveland Reptile Show every month. Not a bad show but doesn't have many of the Snakes I'm interested in. I'm thinking about trying Pittsburgh or Columbus as they are both within a two hour drive of my place. But I really don't wanna show up and see nothing but ball pythons and red tails. Not that there is anything wrong with those, I just don't wanna waste my time on Snakes I can get here.:cens0r:
Anyways, any help would be appreciated.:cens0r:

Hey Jackal, I'm from Northeast Ohio as well, and go to every Cleveland show too! Next ones in a week! I will be going to the Steel City expo in Pittsburgh in May, and will be going to the Columbus shows starting in May also.
Now, I've never been to either of them but from what I've heard are smaller and very similar to the Cleveland show. I've seen pictures of both shows, and know that a lot of the breeders from the Cleveland show attend the other two.
But like you said, its only about a two hour drive, and I'm curious to see the other vendors that attend the shows. I'm really only interested in Ball's so that's all I'm looking for. What kind of snakes are you looking for?

Re: Pittsburgh and Columbus Reptile shows
Hello from akron! I'm mainly looking for Asian and South american colubrids. Some rear fanged such as Barons racers(Cleveland as I'm sure you know is non venomous). Retics with dwarf blood. Just not table after table of balls and boas. I like em, don't get me wrong, but they've taken over 90% of the show.

I'm in Medina myself.
One thing I do know, the Steel City Expo in Pittsburgh is introducing venomous animals for all of their 2014 shows.
Vendors have flyers for the show with the address and what not at the Cleveland show, I'm sure you can find one next Sunday.

Re: Pittsburgh and Columbus Reptile shows
The Pittsburgh Shows are heavy on Ball Pythons, however, there are also rectics, colubrids, turtles, geckos, skinks gators and even hots at the shows. Check with Rick Krumrine (you can find him on Facebook). I know he has alot of colubrids at his table. Also Brad McCarthy but Brad does not have a FB account or website that I know of. He is mainly word of mouth but is one of the bigger breeders at the local shows.
