    Joined the bite club (pics!)

Was feeding my hog island (hes like 5'10") hes in his t8 against the back wall, I put the (fk) rat in with 12" tongs and he goes beyond the rat about 18" and tags me. Naturally I pulled back, bringing him about a foot out of the cage in the process. Thankfully no teeth were lost in the process and I had a broom to use to gently coerce him back into his cage. He hasnt had a feeding response like this since I rescued him 6 months ago. Guess its that time of year!

This is my first bite from my snakes (unless you count my pissy little corn when he was a baby and didnt even break the skin) only other time ive been tagged was by a 3 foot albino burm in the pet store.

Anyway, I know you all love pictures so here ya go!

Most of the blood where the actual bite was rolled down onto my palm which is why I dont have a pic of the top of my hand.

Didnt really hurt (im a mechanic so my hands get abused daily) and I have minor swelling. I mayyyyyyyyy have screamed like a girl when it happened, cant confirm that though ;]

Whoa man, that's a lot of blood. Did you need a transfusion? Are you light headed?

LOL you need longer tongs. When my girl did that to me I invested in a set before her next feeding.

Sorry it took a while to respond, just got out of the trauma unit. Gotta say the helicopter ride there was fun though ;]

24" seems to be the way to go for sure.

Thanks! I havent seen alot to compare it to, but it is neat seeing the jaw outline.

The burm tag I mentioned was cooler, ill have to look for pics but it got me right on the wrist and you could make out the top jawline on my upper wrist and lower jaw line on the bottom part of my wrist.

While neither that bite or this bite hurt much, sure makes me glad im not natural prey for snakes! lol.
