Lavender Albino Project - yes or no?

I am acquiring an 800g het lav albino male and need some help deciding whether or not I should start a lav albino project.

Lav albinos have been around for a pretty long time now, but there are not that many combos and out of the ones that have been produced, many have been just in the past couple years. I'm not sure if this is good or if it's bad because being a het without a female would be a long term project and they may drop significantly in price or may not gain popularity so I need some help predicting that.

    Any opinions appreciated.

dont worry too much, lavender albino is a really nice recessive project, and of course everything drops down in price all the time. but recessives like that experience the slowest decline in price.

independent of price, or even if they really come down in price, i think they will still be popular because they are beautiful.

but getting a visual from just one male het seems like a real pain. you will produce lots of possible hets, and will have to do lots of inbreeding. you will produce several clutches of possible het lavenders, and possible hets are not very popular and may be difficult to sell. given the amount of time and money it will take to produce these clutches and to care about the hatchlings and everything, i would rather wait and save up for a 100% het or a visual female, and/or invest that time, money and energy into different projects.

Yea, I can't even find a visual female lav for sale. I haven't found many 100% hets either. I may buy multiple 50% het females and reevaluate this decision when they reach breeding size.

I would suggest not breeding a normal het Lav male to a visual Lav female. Maybe not even a het female.

You can pick up something male incomplete dom Het Lav pretty cheap these days.
