    New snakes same enclosure

So I made a thread about a craiglist deal I made on Saturday. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...heavy-i-think). I wanted to know if I can hold them sooner then their feeding time next week. The only stressful part that I think they are feeling was being put in bags. They are being kept in the same rack system with pretty much all the same things except I bought hides for 5 out of 7 of them. Zeus the biggest one I'm pretty sure since he is about 3 years old he would be fine with this. Im not sure about the others.

Keep in mind that the heat could be different, and definitely the smells are also new. You are new (to them).

I would still give it a week or at least one feeding. Better not to stress them, even though it's SO exciting getting new snakes!! That's all I can suggest I know I didn't wait the recommended time with my corn snake... too excited, haha!

I'm hoping you can expound on this quote. I think I know what you're trying to say, but I want to be sure I didn't read it wrong.

I guess you could, but is it imperative that you do it that day?

If your options are a) show people pictures of your snakes that you took Friday, or b) take out the snakes to show a bunch of people, I'd DEFINITELY go with option A.

I would assume, having moved to a new situation (regardless of type of vive - new people, new smells) is all very stressful for your snakes. Having a stranger (you, because you are a stranger to them still) take them out for a room full of people to see... if I were a snake, not my idea of a fun day!
They just don't want to get eaten I think that is their biggest, and maybe only, worry. Then again I'm not a snake so hwo do I know.

Pesonally it took one of my snakes months to feel comfortable out of her vive around more than one giant human. She would get so scared around two, I think she felt ganged up on.

    << Agrees with ^^

I have a neighbor who hounds me about handling anything new I get in and I almost have to shield bash him to get it into his head that he can handle new guys when they are ready to be handled. All of my animals get pics taken when they come into the home then don't get touched for at least a week(7-10 days) minus water changes. They need adjustment time to settle in so they should left unmolested.
