    Freezing new furniture

How long should I leave new furniture in the freezer before putting it into the cage?

Freezing doesn't kill anything. Heat would.

The best way to kill anything that may be on it would be to bake it at 250 in the oven for a few hours and then let it naturally cool.

First off are you talking wood furniture? If so baking it in the oven is an easy way to go. Also what are you wanting to kill off. Some things like mites can be killed if exposed to prolonged freezing temps.

If freezing kills nothing then why do others post freezing your rats are better for the snake because it kills the bad bacteria?

People that talk about that generally are talking about killing off some parasites. I dont think the poster really meant freezing will kill nothing.. but meant that freezing will not kill much that would be present on a decoration you are going to put in your snake tub/tank.

Exactly. Thank you. Dip appears to enjoy trying to start things around here.

My question was a simple one. Why you think it was starting something I have no idea since your post did not say something like (wont kill most stuff living on décor) but you posted (it wont kill any thing) so for clarification purposes I ask a simple question.
