    Heat Lamp Melted

I had a heat lamp that I used about 2 feet above my snakes cage. It melted. I guess the fixture must have short circuited or something. I'm not using the bulb any more, nor will I use the fixture in the future. The black tar-like glue melted and dripped into the cage. I changed the bedding and am in the process of getting the terrible stuff of the cage. My question is this, it let off quite a noxious fume, I've aired out the room and am keeping my girl in a separate cage right now; how long should she stay out of the cage. and does she need to see the vet?

As long as you can't smell any more fumes she should be good to go. And there's no reason to take her to a vet unless she was burned by whatever was melted.
