    Louisiana is too cold!!

This is our dogs water bucket at 10:00 this morning -

She's an outside dog and not allowed indoors (we live on top of our landlord) but he left just now and I unfastened her collar still attached to her lead and brought her up. That way it looks like she got loose (she has before but always stays close) and she can be warm. Poor girl /:

It 'looks' nice outside here, but it's -16 (which is still warmer then we were expecting)

Part of me wants to feel smug that we're having such a "cold" day here in Phoenix with a high of 68, and the rest of me knows I will regret it in 6 months when it's 120. Stay warm everybody!

Hey I just left Phoenix this morning! It's been lovely the last couple days, but now I am driving home to New Mexico. It's very cold where I live, but we don't get snow, it's too dry.

I'm sorry, OP, but I had to smile at that picture of the thin little layer of ice. Some kids egged my car last week and I was outside cleaning it off and the boiling water was freezing as fast as I took it out of the bucket. Spilled some on my shoes and they froze solid in just a few minutes.

I lived in Florida for a year, but honestly I would much rather have winter. I do love the cold.

I'm from Louisiana and while it was cold this morning, depending on where you at it was probably colder.

I had had enough snow for one lifetime. I would love to live in the South West.

It was nice out today at 40 this morning, all the snow had melted off. Of course, I regretted having dressed for 40 when it dropped down to 15 while I was out...
