Anyone here into the paint gene?

I'm trying to decide between a paint(co-dom) male and a pied(recessive) male, same price.
I kind of like the idea of working with the paint gene, since it seems like there are not a lot of people working with it.
On the other hand, it seems like EVERYONE has a pied. Don't get me wrong, pieds are cool beans.
I like both genes about the same, just wondering what others think about the two genes.
Please note I don't have any het pied females as of yet, so I would have to get one or make my own.

Pieds on their own are cool. I only like color combo pieds though.. The exception would be the simple combos that don't destroy the pattern such as pinstripe, pastel, and enchi.

The paint surely has some untapped potential. I'm a fan because it just looks cool! I like both, but I would rather work with the pied and make my favorite combos. If I were more ambitious, I would go with the paint gene and make some new cool combos with the super. The single gene combos probably won't appeal to many people.

Good luck, and I expect pics of whichever you decide

If the two males in question were of equal QUALITY for their morph, I would pick the paint. So much potential there and a more rare gene indeed. I saw a paint project for sale on fauna and wished I could buy it. Have you seen the calico super paint? WOW
    Nothing

Right there is my dilemma, I can not afford a super so I would hopefully end up with single gene babies plus possibly some pastel paints, calico paints, paints het vpi ax(which is the one I REALLY want to see), spider paints and possibly paint bumblebees, which could be cool.

Yes they are and yes, the Graffiti ball is freaking HOT! But most of the combos that really pop involve the super paint plus another gene

Grafitis are one of my fave BP's but all pied combos are amazing and so are paint but i think pied single genes are much nicer than paint single genes but if you start working with super paints and paint double genes but the desision is yours and both your choises are beautiful animals
