    Worried!!

So today I took my Hog out and as I put him back in I changed his water out. Immediately after I left he started drinking. He is STILL drinking as I write this for over 10 minutes stoping to adjust his jaw. I'm worried he might have been dehydrated and this is why, but water has always been accessible, maybe cause it was full to the brim?? Should I be worried he is drinking so much and for such a long time??? Thanks in Advance and Happy New Year!!!

I wouldn't worry: some of mine seem to drink forever too (when I can catch them). Maybe I would check that your temps aren't too hot but it sounds pretty normal to me.

    Re: Worried!!

I wouldn't worry too much. When mine drinks, it's usually a marathon drink. Lol.

Boas don't drink often so when they do, they drink a lot. And many boas won't drink at all unless they have fresh, cool water available. For this reason, water should be changed out every 3-5 days or more often if necessary.
