Question about Homemade Incubator.
Hey guys got a quick question, I've been searching on google but find anything in reference to reptile incubators.
I recently gutted a Wine Cooler and converted it into a incubator. The problem is I had a middle section I had to cut out on the inside, which left some scratching. So I lightly sanded the inside and made a quick pass with some standard flat black krylon. It has been about 16hours and it still has a faint paint smell. Did I just ruin this incubator? Or will the smell wear off or be non toxic to eggs once cured?? I'm kicking myself for not asking before I painted, but I had my head up my butt at the time.
Thanks

Just let it air out. How soon do you plan on using it?

Next years Season. I got a good deal on a wine cooler off a classified, and I had flexwatt and stuff laying around so I figured I'd start on it. Just didn't know how toxic krylon was to eggs. Should have asked before I did it..Just wondering if I need to can it and start all over?

If you give it more time to air out I can't imagine it will be a problem...

Once cured and left to air out your fine. The smell will go away and the paint will not be toxic. Krylon seems to be used by many on decorations placed inside vivariums and fish tanks alike.

as others say, time will fix it. there may be more of the smell when you heat it up for the first time, but you have enough time to do an empty test run.
also, generally people put the eggs inside boxes where they have the right substrate and humidity, and to keep the humidity inside the boxes they are closed, and then they are put in the incubator.

Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it. If you disagree, send me a PM.
