    Animal plastics for Chondro

I've decided I'm going to get a chondro. Will an AP T5 be fine for one? Dimensions(for those who do not know) are 36"long x 24"wide x 22"tall. Will an adult female biak be fine in here? Or should I get a male/smaller locale?

I'm not too knowledgeable on Chondro's but I do know they do like to cruise the cage at night, they don't always stay perched up on stuff. Also I'm not sure where you've gotten your dimensions from but they're off. It's 36" long, 24" deep(front to back) and 24" tall. Yes, that would work and I know a few people that do keep them in that size enclosure, but I'm not sure how large the Biaks get and if I'm not mistaken they're one of your larger ones.

Oh. I was two inches off on height... I wrote it down last time I was looking at them, I have terrible handwriting. Anyway, biaks are, if I'm not mistaken, the largest locale.

Yea, and you had width/length twice .

What is your budget, because depending on what you're looking for they have a place that imports strictly from Indonesia where they have a breeding facility. They have everything as well and I can give you some tips on what to look for, so that way you end up with the nicest possible looking Chondro. I've been doing some research regarding the looks and stuff and I've discovered quite a bit. I'd be glad to help you as much as possible with you getting the Chondro you want. I'll be getting myself one soon, just have other priorities first.

There's not really too much of a limit to the budget. I like nice green ones with yellow or blue sides. Blue bellies are cool too, and blue dorsal stripes. I don't really like high-yellows, high-blues, melanistics, or whites. I do know that biaks are usually pretty yellow, I was asking about them to see if I would need to worry about size. I prefer dark red neos and I prefer my snakes larger. I also like the brighter, almost neon, colors.

That would be a good size for any adult gtp female. My male is in a 24*24*22 and uses the space very well. They are pretty active at night. My biy cruises each night and he even swims in his water bowl. He is a joy to watch. Many people have gotten away from the cube cages and are going to the 36 inch long with a shorter height. Sometimes the rhp will habe a hard time keeping the top perch at a good temp while still sending heat to the lower levels so the shorter cages make this a bit easier. My cage is in a heated room so i dont have to worry about the rhp creating a good ambient temp and only need it for the hotspot.

I would recommend getting the cage set up far in advance because it may take some time to get it right and chondros can be sensitive compared to others.
