It finally happened.
I got snagged yesterday by my boa Phoenix.
I've never been bit by one of my snakes before haha it was a little sock but completely my fault.
I went to feed her and dropped the rat so I went to pick it up with the foot long tongs and she made a pretty impressive strike and bit me.
Blood everywhere Hahaha
I picked it up and gave it to her then went and watched it off. There are a total of 16 little punctures hahaha
She's such a sweetie. I just made the dumb move of putting my hand in there while she knew it was feeding time .

Hehe funny because I just got bit by one of my small bp's...first bite as well...while cleaning out the tub. No marks or anything but I definitely felt her mouth wrap around my finger LOL. I guess I'm glad for the first one to be out of the way cause I'll be more careful now. I'd hate for it to happen with a big one.

Nothing to big. Tiny little marks haha I'm a pretty easy bleeder so while I was taking pictures i dripped all over my darn bed haha .

Yikes! Are you gonna survive the brutal attack? :p
I would never stick my hand into my boas cages with a rat around, lol. I dropped a rat before, and I just left it for him. Took him a few minutes, he was kinda like where's my rat?? But I wasn't about to reach in there.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

nice little tag, do you keep quick clot around to stop the massive blood loss? Pretty boa btw

LOL this happened to me once, I just closed the enclosure up and left the room because the boa kept looking at me to provide the food. Came back in 15 minutes and he was eating the rat.
