Two sheds - still has eyecap
My 5yo normal gal Delilah sometimes has problem sheds - not sure why, since the other snakes in her rack never have an issue! She's had a stuck eyecap before, but it came off easily in the next shed. This time I waited again, but she had a second shed over the weekend and it's still there (even worse). She doesn't have much of a "film" over it, and it's not silver like the last time, but there is a white rim around the edge.
I've heard a variety of opinions on removing eyecaps, so what are your thoughts? I know tape isn't recommended by many, and mineral oil with a Q-tip is generally preferred. I've also heard of using the wet pillowcase w/ towel, but also read that can sometimes suffocate a snake (although I've done that in the past without anyone dying). I'm not exactly an EXPERT, but have been keeping snakes for about 5 years, so I am far from a newbie. Is it safe for me to attempt one of these methods myself, or should I call on a professional? Or should I wait for a THIRD shed? She is doing fine otherwise, eating and pooping/peeing as usual.
Here's how it looks right now:

P.S. She also had stuck shed on her body this time, but I got that off quickly with the wet towel trick (letting her slither through it a bunch of times).

Sounds like you should boost the humidity more. Even if the others don't require it, she must.
I have only had one stuck eye cap on my hoggy when I got her. I popped it off with ease by just slightly applying pressure to the top of the cap with my finger. I would never use tape. I would wait for the next shed if it is really holding on.
