Question about initial pairing for breeding

So in the not so distant future I plan to breed my Bumblebee het pied to my pied female.
I have done much research and starting to work on a hatchling rack and incubator.

I guess the question I have is, When introducing the bumblebee to the females enclosure is this much of a risk? Do I have to ease them in , put them around each other a bit? or drop him in and close the lid?
Should I remove the hide? My female pied only eats in her hide and a mouse has to enter it then she slams it. (Yes I said mouse, she wont touch rats, and she is over 1600 grams) I would hate to see my bumblebee enter her hide and get nailed.

Sorry If these are big time newbie questions, I guess that's just what i'm most fearful of is having my female tag my male when he enters the hide.

any tips hints stories suggestions would be great! thank you!

With two of them in there you may want to take out the hide, then put it back when you remove the male so she can spend a day in it before you feed her. The other reason to remove it, which I discovered the hard way, is that it will be one less thing to deep clean after their session. Or to put it another way, my female pees like a racehorse and wags her tail like a puppy dog when her boyfriend arrives... you can imagine the mess...

Lol thanks for the advice, my big pied girl already makes a ridiculous mess when she poops. she poops about once a month but when she does she spreads her entire water bowl and pee and poop across the entire enclosure. I use paper towels as a substrate and I can instantly tell when she went because the towels are all brown yellow and completely soaked.

I am extremely excited to get this little project going. I just want to make sure I have everything set up perfectly before I pair them.
