    wood enclosures

    i am building a wood enclosure and i was wanting to opinions on how to heat it. and if it would be safe to use a heat mat on it and if it would be safe what do you prefer a uth or heat tape. of course it will be on a thermostat thanks for anybodys help with this and i will have tile inside the enclosure on the wood

    I would use a radiant heat panel. These mount to the ceiling of the cage and radiate heat downward. These should be regulated with a thermostat:

    i also have ceramic heat bulbs should i use the heat panels instead

    heat panels are safer than heat lamps/CHE's. If do use a CHE or heat lamp just make sure the snake can't come into contact with it.

    Im using flexwatt 11" by 24" , not doing the job in these winter months in my 4x2x2 cage. I'm also looking for another heat source. Looks like i half to go RHP.
